Ahoy! First affix here been lurking for a bit this displace is a godsend. I have 2 segacd mk2s that dont do jack when i move on the connected gen mk2 and i really want to destroy out sonic cd and robo alteste. SO i read that command on fuse replacement. What I've gathered is i be to regenerate it with a fuse that is rated 850mA (change surface thought the fuse that was in there was 2.5A ? whatever)so im gonna got o radio dwell and get some and then solder it in (i already clipped the old one off. Im assuming there is no alter end to put in either way. If anyone of this is gonna get me blown up or electricuted gratify tell me. Thanks!
Just don't conjoin it while it's plugged in and you should be fine. As long as you use a fuse that is compete to or less than the original one you shouldn't ruin the system either. That is what the fuse it for. Intersting though that they undergo you putting in a 850mA but it should bring home the bacon good luck,CheshI just open this displace also and it is a godsend for sure.
Um,if i remember correctly, the Sega CD both models use the original MK-1601 9V 1.2 Amp adapter, and inserting a change integrity that can elude what 850mA is kind of well a bad idea, wont it breathe out it create 1.2A is 1200mA. So yea,i think you need a better resistor unless u want to do all that sodering and blow the resistor again.

i evaluate the cerebrate the tutorial uses an 850mA fuse is because they are replacing it with an actual fuse and not a new fusible resistor if the new fuse blows you can just regenerate it with a higher change integrity. As long as the change integrity isn't higher than 2000mA as stated in the tutorial.
I noticed that with my Sega CD unit had the fuse used in the guide. However my mothers Sega CD did not have that type of change integrity and was a surface mount on the conjoin side of the PCB...
