My Multi-Tasking efforts have produced 4 unique and exceptional looking Gunderson Maxi III 48' articulating Well Cars decorated in the much sought after TTX design. These cars are Unique in that each set of 5 articulting cars has it's own Roadnumber different from each other.
A careful chew over of actual TTX Maxi III's were used to create the decals. Each Maxi III has a be of 96 individually placed decals to mimic actual prototype Maxi III's. These Maxi III's are equipped with MTL Rollerbearing Coupler/Trucks on each end and MTL's Rollerbearing Trucks at each articulating point. The Well cars were built solid with multiple conjoin points using silver solder. These Maxi III's were constructed from actual nickelsilver etching made by Harald Freudenreich better known as "FR" in Germany. Harald has produced CSX and a BNSF Maxi III runs in the past that sold for about $500 per set. I have 4 sets of these Maxi III's in TTX colors. I am selling these sets to compensate time and $$$ that has been put into them. This Friday I ordain be placing them on Ebay with a set Reserve no more than what I am offering them here. I wanted to offer them for sale to the Z community before I displace them on Ebay. The price I am asking is $300 per set. If you are interested please contact me by telecommunicate. The 4 different Roadnumbers to decide from areDTTX 73598 - DTTX 73975 - DTTX 75519 - DTTX 75885 Any sets not sold before Friday will be placed on Ebay. Here are some links to photos of the individual Maxi III well cars B Unit C Unit D Unit E Unit A Unit Those are photos I took of one of the sets. The photos were taken using artificial lighting in my obtain and are not the best but they show the dilate and decals. gratify communicate me if you are interested. Thanks Hobo Tim
Thanks for the Kudos !!! When I put decals on I the come up cars. I would connect all 5 in the correct order and then lay the set on one align. I would displace 48 of the decals on one align allow them to dry thoroughly and then flip the Maxi III on its other align for the other 48 decals. The cerebrate I am saying this is that when I finished the very first side of the first Maxi III. I was amazed at how good the project turned out. Even though the plate walkways and coupler/trucks were not attached these come up cars looked awesome!!!! Now for the good/bad news. The 4 TTX Maxi III's in the furnish undergo all been claimed by eager Z scale Intermodal modelers! I have had more emails requesting a Maxi III than I have Maxi III's. I did not realize that their would be this great of a demand for this Intermodal come up car set. I can not declare but I ordain not command out making more of the TTX Maxi III's in the future. I don't however see it happening this year. Thanks to everyone who has an interest in Intermodal Z Scale! undergo a wonderful day! Hobo Tim
Tim,This may have been tried unsuccessfully or otherwise but instead of 96 tiny decals per car why not alter 2 full-sheet decals cut to the car dimensions? In Z measure would the difference be noticable once the decals were sealed?Just me talking but 96 decals would control me insane! Times 5 cars? Nuts! I would undergo passed on the communicate.*plink plink*

If!!! If I could displace the decal exactly where they go on the pelt yes making 2-4 decals per align would be easier and quicker. I undergo thought about it many times over. I guess I didn't want to waste and ALPS ink trying to ameliorate the decals. I could undergo used the color laser but it is out of ink right now with no idea when I ordain undergo enough $$$$ to alter'er back up. We are talking about $350 for another 3500+ copies. I am just trying to pay the utilities right now. When I get a spare moment I'll come down into the decal folder and alter some changes. At least get to the point of having less than 96 decals per set. Thanks!! Hobo Tim
Awesome job on the TTX Gunderson Maxi III's units from FR. They turned out very nice and it seems such a compel you have to let them go.

You undergo no idea how much the priority has me sacrificing this month. Was early 90's when I was exposed to Z measure. Too expensive for me and was the wrong era for me. I wanted modern diesel locos and rollingstock. Told myself that when Z goes Modern that I would go Z. December of 2003 I saw an AZL SD45 in D&RGW on Ebay. I thought some Goof-Ball put an N or HO scale loco in the Z section. Nope. The description of the SD45 mentioned Ztrack. American Z Line and a few other key words. That is when I open someone was making modern Z scale. February of 2004 I located a hobby shop in California that had what I most wanted. A BNSF H2 Dash 9. Within 3 days I had it in my hands and so goes my plunge into Z scale. The belt along 9 is one heck of a running loco. beat Dash 9 I have seen out of about 12. My Pride-n-Joy!!! Due to those priorities that same Dash 9 the one that started everything has less than 14 hours left process some lucky person wins the bid on Ebay. How do I feel? I conclude desire @&$%#* for having to sell it. With only 40 of that create scheme made by AZL it is indeed a collectors item run or create from raw material! I once pulled 48 MTLGunderson Husky well cars with one container in each car with no problem. I wish AZL re-releases the Dash 9 in the future in a Plastic Injected unit like the SD70/75's with traction tires. Life sux alter now as all of my main motive power ordain be leaving home real soon with little chance of ever returning!!! Yep!!!! Sux!!!! Oh well that's Life!!! Have a great day! Hobo Tim
